Organisation and Learning Spaces
The school is a 2 form entry primary with a 26 place Nursery onsite.
The school was extensively refurbished during 2011-12 to create new and extended classrooms, intervention rooms, a new library and staff/ administration areas. Photographs of the finished project can be viewed on the School Gallery page.
We are fortunate to have excellent specialist facilities for the teaching of Music and Drama and Physical Education, shared spaces for group work and a separate Dining Hall and onsite kitchen.
An Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Suite houses 31 PCs and an interactive whiteboard. In addition, computers are located in classrooms and the Work Area adjacent to the Library. Interactive whiteboards are also located in every teaching space. We also have iPads and laptop computers for pupils to use. A spacious Community Room is used for a range of purposes, including Out of School Childcare (Time Flies).
The school's Outdoor Activity Centre is an exciting and innovative facility for children to explore a wide range of curricular opportunities throughout the year. The Centre includes; horticulture area with growing beds for every class in school; wildlife area with pond and marshland, amphitheatre; assault course; orienteering courses; geocaching courses and Kinaesthetic Adventure Park! More infomation about outdoor learning can be found here.
In addition to the outdoor learning spaces, we have extensive playgrounds to the rear and side of the school and a large school field, suitable for sporting activities.
