What We Do
The school has teaching areas specifically for Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception), Years One to Three and Years Four to Six. Our award winning Nurture Room supports the “Cygnets”, learners who require particular social and emotional support.
The school was refurbished during 2011-12 to create new and extended classrooms, intervention rooms, a new library and staff/ administration areas. Photographs of the finished project can be viewed on the School Gallery page.
There are specialist facilities for the teaching of Music and Drama and Physical Education (both indoor and outdoor.) An Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Suite houses 31 PCs and interactive whiteboard. In addition, computers are located in all classrooms and the Work Area adjacent to the Library. Interactive whiteboards are also located in every teaching space. A Community Room is used for a range of purposes including Out of School Childcare (Time Flies) and Mother and Toddler Group.
The school's Outdoor Activity Centre is an exciting and innovative facility for children to explore a wide range of curricular opportunities throughout the year. The Centre includes; horticulture area with growing beds for every class in school; wildlife area with pond and marshland, amphitheatre; assualt course; orienteering courses; geocaching courses and Kinaesthetic Adventure Park!
